Former Leinster, Ireland and Lions Rugby Player Brian O’Driscoll Joins Zerofit – The World’s Warmest Baselayer®
Zerofit – The World’s Warmest Baselayer® - is delighted to welcome former Leinster, Ireland and British & Irish Lions rugby player Brian O’Driscoll to the business as a brand shareholder and ambassador to help drive an increase in sports participation and physical exercise amongst people of all ages.
Since launching as a Direct-to-Consumer brand at the beginning of 2021, the popularity of Zerofit with outdoor enthusiasts has grown exponentially. Central to this success are key products such as the Zerofit Heatrub Ultimate baselayer, which has been independently tested at the Boken Institute in Osaka, Japan and proven to be five times warmer than a standard baselayer, making it ideal for hiking, sailing, skiing, fishing and motorcycling. The Heatrub Move baselayer offers ‘Adaptable Warmth’ and moisture-wicking performance for higher intensity sports such as running, cycling, rugby, football and hockey.

Both products, as well as the Cold Skin baselayer which has designed for the summer months, have been created to help keep people moving for the benefit of their physical and mental health, whatever the weather.
Following his retirement from the sport in 2014 after winning 133 caps for Ireland a further eight for the Lions, Mr O’Driscoll has established himself as a leading broadcast analyst and pundit, as well as developing his business portfolio with a select number of brands.
‘I am excited to be joining the team at Zerofit and helping more people embrace an active lifestyle by having clothing that makes exercising throughout the year a more appealing prospect,’ said Mr O’Driscoll.

‘The reality is that sometimes motivation can wane for lacing up the trainers and starting a 5k run or a 5-mile hike on a freezing cold December morning. Likewise in the summer, the heat can get the better of us and we decide to skip whatever exercise we had planned. But Zerofit are addressing that issue by offering a full collection of products that remove some of those obstacles to exercise,’ he added.
‘Having first come across the brand at the start of 2022 while broadcasting during a particularly cold period of weather, I was absolutely blown away by the performance of the baselayers after Zerofit kindly sent me some of their products to try. An opportunity arose to become the brand’s first ambassador towards the start of the autumn but having met the team and listened to their vision and plans, I was adamant I’d like to be more involved.
‘The beauty of the Zerofit brand is the breadth of the markets where there is a need for best-in-class baselayers. Whatever your passion, Zerofit has a baselayer for you. And because the products are so versatile, they are perfect for everyday activities such as taking the kids to school or walking the dog,’ he added.

Zerofit manufactures baselayers and accessories for all four seasons, and as the arrival of spring looms large in the coming weeks, Michael Morton, Managing Director of Zerofit Europe, is looking forward to working with the brand’s newest shareholder.
‘Having someone such as Brian on board is a major coup for Zerofit – he is globally recognised and respected and we are thrilled to have him with us,’ said Mr Morton.
‘What was immediately obvious to us was how much Brian had to offer in terms of energy, ideas and creativity. He sees the opportunity we all have with Zerofit to help get people moving and exercising for the full 12 months of the year, something we are all passionate about,’ he added.
