Bennetts British Superbikes Star Glenn Irwin Signs With Zerofit – The World’s Warmest Baselayer®
Zerofit – King of Baselayers® - is delighted to announce the signing of Bennetts British Superbikes contender Glenn Irwin to promote, train and race wearing the award-winning collection of products.
Two years after the Japanese brand first arrived in the motorcycling industry, the Zerofit Heatrub Ultimate Baselayer has become a must-have winter essential for bikers in the United State, UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Germany, Australia and New Zealand.
Today’s announcement marks the next stage of Zerofit’s sports marketing strategy that sees them align with world class current and former athletes across multiple sports.
‘I am thrilled to be announced as a Brand Ambassador with Zerofit because not only will the baselayers boost my performance levels next season in the BSB, but they also offer massive benefits to all motorcyclists who use their bikes every day. Zerofit baselayers are absolute game-changers, the best I’ve ever used, and I am so excited to be partnering with an organisation that has a European and US Head Office in my home of Northern Ireland,’ said Glenn.
‘As we enter the coldest months of the year, staying warm on the road is something every biker knows is essential and Zerofit offer the best products to achieve that. They are the official baselayer supplier to the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes (NABB) and it’s clear to me that they have a unique set of products for motorcyclists.
‘From the first meeting I had with the team at Zerofit I was blown away with just how quickly the business has grown, not just in motorcycling but also in other markets including skiing, golf, hiking, fishing and even gardening. Whatever sport or leisure activity you do outside, Zerofit has a baselayer for you,’ added Irwin.
Born in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland, Irwin has been racing since his childhood and secured his first title in 2008, taking the Irish Clubman 125 Championship. Three years later he finished second in the 2011 National Superstock 600 Championship before stepping up to the British Supersport Championship in 2012.
He made his debut at the 2016 British Superbike Championship and a year later did the same at the iconic North West 200 in his homeland. He finished second in the 2022 British Superbike Championship, a feat he achieved again this year.
The Zerofit Heatrub Ultimate baselayer (From $90) has been independently tested at the Boken Institute in Osaka and proven to be five times warmer than a standard baselayer, making it an essential piece of kit in temperatures as low as -10° Celsius. Zerofit also offers the Heatrub Move Baselayer ($76), which is twice as warm as standard product, as well as the Cold Skin Baselayer ($70) that is three times cooler than competitor products for the hot summer months.
‘Glenn is a world class rider and the perfect ambassador our brand and I am so pleased to be able to welcome him to the Zerofit family,’ said Michael Morton, Zerofit Managing Director.
‘Motorcycling is a massive part of our global business, and we are confident that Glenn will help to raise the profile of the brand within the sport and to the wider biking community,’ added Morton.
